Aby Coulibaly
Aby Coulibaly is a 21 year old singer-songwriter from Dublin. Whilst her sound may be reminiscent of a classic R&B/Soul era, her ability to switch seamlessly between singing and rap makes her unique. She is very much an artist of the present, counting Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu as some of her biggest influences.
Orignially Aby was shy but began to grow in confidence as she posted covers on her Instagram. She then decided to drop her first original song on SoundCloud, which she recorded in her bedroom. After receiving great feedback, she took things to the next level and released her official debut single, ‘Taurus’, in the summer of 2020.
Writing is a cathartic experience for her as she pours the emotions of a moment into a song in a way that everyone can relate. Combining this with her soothing voice and unorthodox sonics make her a potential star. Stay tuned as she continues to take the world by storm.
